| 2010 TEAM EXCEL CAMP LOCATIONS, FACILITIES AND COACHES |
The 2010 Team Excel Summer Training Camps will be held at some of the most outstanding locations and facilities in the country. Excel Wrestling will run camps this summer in Iowa, Colorado Wyoming and Hawaii. Our Colorado Team Camp will again be in Estes Park at the YMCA of the Rockies, June 21 - 24th.
In addition to Excelerator Technique/Intensive Camps in Iowa and Colorado, we will be adding to our schedule a new Excelerator Technique/Intensive camp in Gillette, WY, hosted by the Touch of Gold Wrestling Club, June 16-18th. The camp will be held at Twin Spruce Junior High School, 7th St & Gillette Ave, in Gym #1.
For the tenth year in a row, we will also visit Hawaii traveling to both Maui and Oahu in late June and early July. See the top of this page for our entire summer camp schedule.
Many of our Excel coaches have worked together for several years and teach on the highest technical levels in the sport. Many have coached Division I college programs, US National and Olympic teams and take the same approach in working with our Excel summer camp wrestlers. Our staff demands a high level of intensity, relentless determination and the work ethic of a champion for every Excel summer camp wrestler.
We believe that quality time spent at the 2010 Excel Summer Training Camps will stand as an important turning point and benchmark in your son's wrestling career. We look forward to working with you this summer!

NATIONAL TEAM CAMPS FOR HIGH SCHOOL COACHES AND TEAMS -

Over the past 15 years, the Excel National Team Camps have hosted high school coaches and teams from more that 20 states.
For years, we have hosted our Colorado Team Camp at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado. At an elevation of 9000 ft. with cabin accommodations, teams from many parts of the country join us to compete in this 16 to 20 team dual and individual tournament competition. The YMCA of the Rockies is one of the most beautiful camp locations in the country, positioned right at the base of the Rocky Mountain National Park, with many outstanding facilities. Every summer, campers wrestle as many as 15 to 20 matches throughout the camp. We assist teams with scheduling whitewater rafting trips through our office, and making plans to attend a Rockies game or Elitch Garden's Six Flags Amusement Park in Denver each summer.
In late June and early July, we will again travel to Hawaii. Our Hawaii Camps have always been a fantastic experience, especially for the mainland wrestlers and coaches who attend. Over the past decade, Excel Wrestling has held camps and clinics on Maui, Oahu and the Big Island and has drawn wrestlers from as many as five states. Wrestlers attending the Hawaii camps in either Maui or Oahu get in a lot of technique, wrestle plenty of matches and still have time for the beach each day. Mainland teams are encouraged to attend and need to contact the Excel Wrestling office for more information.

EXCELERATOR TECHNIQUE / INTENSIVE CAMPS -

Under the auspices of USAW, Excel Wrestling has been designated as an official US Junior Olympic Program. Our Excelerator Training Camps are designed as an Olympic Development Program emulating the atmosphere and intensity of the US Olympic Training Center. We will challenge mental toughness and intensity and help every wrestler who attends reach new levels.
- Excelerator 4 Day Technique/Intensive Camp June 13 - 16th, Johnston, IA
(Held at Camp Dodge Military Base)
- Excelerator 3 Day Technique/Intensive Camp June 16-18th, Gillette, WY
(Hosted by Gillette's Touch of Gold Wrestling Club and held at Twin Spruce Jr. High)
- Excelerator 4 Day Technique/Intensive Camp, Aug. 8 - 11th, Estes Park, CO
(Location: Estes Park Center's YMCA of the Rockies)
The Excel coaching staff understands the importance of the right work ethic and training regiments and how critical they are in accomplishing success on the state and national levels. Wrestlers at these camps will be taught high level techniques, as well as sound fundamentals focusing primarily on the feet in the neutral position. Our target for this camp is establishing the pathway to a high school state championship for each and every wrestler. The Excelerator Camps are limited to the first 40 wrestlers.
