Steve Knight

Steve Knight enters his 12^th season as Team Excel Head Coach and Executive Director.  He now heads up the new Iowa Excel Year Round Training Program in the Greater Des Moines area.  Knight has served on the US Olympic Coaching staff, as well as US World Cup and Pan Am teams.  He has coached in two World Championships and been a member of the US National Teams staff for over a decade working with athletes at the US Olympic Training Center.  He was a US Pan American Gold Medalist, Iowa State NCAA All American and several time National Freestyle All American.   He and his family reside in Urbandale, IA.

Eric Voelker

Eric Voelker partners with Knight as coach of the newest Team Excel Junior Olympic Program in Iowa.  Voelker is a 2 x Iowa State University NCAA Champion and 3 x All American.   He has contributed for years to Iowa wrestling and was recently inducted into the Iowa High School Wrestling Hall of Fame.  He and Steve Knight were both teammates and long time friends, wrestling for Iowa State in the late ‘80's and early ‘90's.   He and his family reside in Dallas Center, IA.
